I watch my 14 month old granddaughter toddling around the house. She walks, runs, falls forward, and then gets up and runs again. The ups and downs of learning to walk are similar to any learning process. If we have the courage to leap forward, we will then fall, get up, and go again.
No one learns to walk if they are afraid of falling. As soon as the child realized she can fall down and get back up, she is no longer afraid. Fear of looking stupid and failing can keep learning in check. Take a leap, fall down, and get back up. People forget your mistakes much quicker than you do. Let them go and move on.
